Workplace Interventions

Climate Assessments

Climate assessments provide a safe place for personnel to voice their perceptions about their workplace environment, including beliefs around policies, procedures, training, and norms. Employers gain unique insights into specific challenges that may detract from their employees’ work performance and communications. We provide leadership with recommendations to improve morale, internal communications, and collaboration between team members.

Assessments typically involve one on one confidential meetings with personnel, and a review of operational procedures, policies, and communications.

Jean conducted a climate assessment for our Agency- she created a respectful safe environment for employees and management to voice concerns. Her recommendations were invaluable in helping us dramatically improve our operations, internal communications, policies and training.

Workplace Audits – State and Municipal Organizations

Public Organizations, including police departments, state agencies and emergency response organizations, are often scrutinized “in the news” for a lack of transparency for how they address external and internal complaints from personnel and the residents they serve. As an independent, unbiased reviewer, we meet with select personnel, review policies and procedures, training protocols, internal affairs practices and communications to ensure best practice standards.

Jean’s background in law enforcement, her work with survivors of violence and her three decades of experience in policy, training and investigations at the Commonwealth’s highest levels, make her a perfect choice to conduct police audits. As a public safety officer with thirty years serving as the Chief of Public Safety for a large university and two municipal police departments, I can say there is no-one better. She was outstanding at identifying recommendations and helped us restore trust with members of our communities.
